Let’s start with the videos

Holy hobos, is there ever news. I went to the Creative Capital Professional Development Workshop for Artists last weekend and came back with a lot of… feelings. Both empowered and traumatized. But I woke up Monday morning with ideas. Lots of them. So many that I couldn’t keep them all to myself, but you’ll have to talk to Matt, Seth, and Johanna (my sweet, patient friends) to get the full scoop. My precious hands must save their energy for jewelry work, not typing. A quick redesign of this blog was the first and easiest, so if you’re seeing this on a reader or RSS feed (is that what the kids are calling it these days?) click on over. It’s not all that exciting. I’m also working on a product line that I am SUPER proud of, a new website, graphic design (by Kristin at Backlog, aka the greatest), an online shop, and all that fun marketing stuff. It’s coming fast, too!

First, I want to show off these little videos I made of my sculptures. Welcome to the third dimension, y’all.

These are all on display now at the Asheville Area Arts Council, but only until Monday the 31st. Then they go immediately to Pittsburgh for my show at the Society for Contemporary Craft in association with the LEAP Emerging Artist Award with I was a finalist for. I have to extend a huge thanks to my studio-mate Matt Smith for helping me with the video. I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Thank you, Chris! I miss you and your attitude and I’m still so glad that you own that piece with the tree. I hope you are well!
